Amazon Owes You Money And You Don’t Even Know It
To start of 2025, the Amazon Vendor Meetup will put the spotlight on fee recovery from Amazon.
Every vendor we speak to knows the Amazon billing system is complex and there’s numerous shortages that slip in, and never get resolved.
With margin pressure on Amazon increasing, every percentage point helps.
At this mastermind, in conjunction with our technology partner Channel Engine, we will dig into the detail on;
- How shortages come about.
- How big of a problem this is in Australia already and world-wide – you’ll be shocked at the amount Amazon is holding.
- What happens internally in companies that causes shortages to slip through the cracks.
- The look-back window you can recover.
- How to recover lost shortages.
- How to stop the issue from happening in the future.
You may even want to have the accounts person who is responsible for managing the Amazon billing and reconciliations attend.
This session will only take up 30 minutes.
Here’s the flow of the event
4pm to 6pm
- Introductions – who’s in the room, purpose and intent of the group.
- 30 minute session on Amazon shortage recovery.
- Hot Seats 30-40 mins: What’s a key challenge you’re facing with Amazon, and what help do you want. Get collective input from others in the group who have had this situation and what they did.
- General networking for 30 minutes, or more, if everyone is having fun (Based on the last Sydney event, allow for a bit more than 30 minutes).
This February event will be the first of 5 that we will run each alternate month in Sydney and Melbourne in 2025.
There is a limit on room size, so register early. A limit of two people per company.
By being part of this group through the year, here’s what you can expect.
- Increase control of the Amazon channel.
- How to grow sales profitably.
- Find solutions to the frustrating aspects of Amazon, or at least get a new angle to take.
- Learn about best in class brand content, Amazon Ads, the right metrics to pay attention to, negotiating with Amazon, what’s coming down the pipeline and more.
- Make new connections with people in a similar role to you from global brands.
- You’ll win in your role, by winning on Amazon.
Your Investment
There is no cost to attending the event, your investment is the time to get to and be present at the event.
Why are we leading this initiative?
We are doing this because we know there’s power in numbers and we want to do our bit to add value to our clients and the Amazon vendor community.
As an Amazon specialist agency, we have a unique perspective because of all the different brands we represent. We know what’s working, what’s difficult, and we have a network of people in all areas of Amazon who can help if we can’t.
In addition, because we work with brands on the Amazon USA channel, we know how to apply the new features and where Amazon Australia is headed.
Here's what people had to say about the Sydney event;
“If you are a Vendor with Amazon, I can’t recommend Sell Global’s Vendor Mastermind Meetup enough. In a world where everything with Amazon seems complex and challenging, this meetup allows you to learn from business that are already succeeding on Amazon, while giving you a forum to discuss any pain points or issues you may have .”
“It was such a great idea to get all of us in similar positions (when it comes to all things AMZ) to share our experiences.”
As an old retailer, I saw AMZ initially as a threat to the status quo. As a distributor wholesaler, I now see AMZ as a platform for opportunity. A disruptor yes, but not a threat to S&H – an enabler, if we do it right. BUT, it is so important that all of US (ie brand owners) stick together and make AMZ work for us, and not vice versa.
Old retail, whether we like it or not, is changing (and even disappearing in certain segments). We need to keep selling our products and have to find alternative routes to the consumer – AMZ is an important part of the ‘new world’. “
“It was a great session, and it was great to be in a room with others experiencing the same issues as I am and to hear their feedback on overcoming the challenges.”
It would be great to attend the next event, so please once the dates are confirmed let me know.”
